Hydratight has launched a new accessory for its torque wrench product line to increase safety and minimize the possibility of pinching during bolting operations.
The Safe T is designed to allow a single person to operate the wrench and its hydraulic pump simultaneously. The tool houses a control panel with two main operational buttons which must be pressed at the same time, ensuring safe operation.
If the operator’s hands are released, the torque wrench and hydraulic pump will cease to operate immediately.
Typically, one technician would operate the torque wrench and another would control the hydraulic pump. With the Safe T, any chance of miscommunication in a noisy environment is eliminated improving the safety of the operation.
