Kiosk printer family

BVM has introduced the new Edito range of direct-thermal kiosk printers from Seiko Instruments, designed for high use environments.

Typical applications include parking, vending, ATMs, information and check-in terminals, retail kiosks and photo booths. Edito can be used in both indoor and outdoor kiosks.

There are four models in the family: a basic cut and drop type, an output control version with anti-jam and pull protection, a model with presenter control to save paper handling and another with full present and retract functions.

For convenience and ease of use, innovative features such as Feed and Print buttons are included on the front and rear of the printers and the multi-coloured illuminated bezel can be set to show the printer status.

All Edito printers employ the highly reliable, wide -20 to +70°C operating temperature CAPM347 printer mechanism.

The flexible paper channel accepts paper width from 58 to 83 mm, and the large diameter 7-position paper arm, which accepts paper rolls up to 200mm in diameter, can be mounted on the left or the right of the unit.

For applications requiring pre-printed tickets, a black-mark sensor is built into the paper channel, together with a tension unit that acts as a clutch and prevents the paper roll from unwinding after high-speed prints.
