Field joint coating conference line-up announced

Applied Market Information (AMI) has published the full programme for its first Field Joint Coating 2014 conference, which takes place in Dusseldorf, Germany, on 2-4 September this year.

Speakers at this new international event - which focuses exclusively on field-applied coating solutions for steel pipelines - include senior representatives from Petrobras of Brazil, GRTGaz de France, Technip and Bredero Shaw from the USA, Tolerant Coating of Turkey, Stopaq Seal for Life Industries of the Netherlands and Canusa-CPS from the UK.

“Field Joint Coating 2014 is a natural development of AMI’s highly successful Pipeline Coating conference, which was held for the sixth time in Vienna, Austria, in February”, said Noru Tsalic, who is senior vice president at AMI Consulting and chair of the Pipeline Coating conference. “Pipelines are only as reliable as their weakest point,” Tsalic said. “While line pipe is typically coated in specialised plants under carefully controlled process conditions, joints and rehabilitation work has to be coated in the field. This poses a whole array of additional challenges.”

Field Joint Coating 2014, whose line-up of sponsors includes Denso, BASF and TIAL, will examine the latest materials, products and technologies available for application of coatings to joints and pipes in a wide variety of in-field conditions.

The full programme for Field Joint Coating 2014 can be downloaded from the AMI conference website here: http://www.amiplastics.com/events/event?Code=C612#4215
