One of the North East’s leading figures in the oil and gas sector has been invited to speak at an international conference that will highlight the latest trends and explore solutions from within the industry.

Bryan Bunn, managing director of Nortech Group, the Wynyard-based professional engineering design and project management company, will be a keynote speaker at HxGN Live. The prestigious event will see thousands of industry experts from across the globe gather at Las Vegas for the four-day long conference.

HxGN Live, which is the annual conference of Hexagon, a leading provider of integrated design, measurement and visualisation technologies, will bring together its global brand network to present exclusive presentations and showcase their latest technologies.

Bunn will deliver a speech at the event on 4 June about 3D modelling systems, as well as discuss a real-life example from Nortech involving CADWorx Plant Professional – the latest 3D plant design and modelling engineering solution software for multiple sectors, including offshore, steel and manufacturing.

He said: “I am honoured to be presenting our work at such a well-respected international event as HxGN Live. It will provide the perfect platform for businesses from across multiple sectors to present their latest technologies and ideas to a host of industry professionals, and I am delighted to be involved.”

Since its establishment in April 2011, the Stockton-on-Tees based group of companies, which serves the process, offshore, onshore oil and gas, steel and iron industries, has gone from strength to strength with a host of significant award wins, including the prestigious British Chamber of Commerce ‘Most Promising New Business’ Award 2013.

Bunn added: “We have enjoyed remarkable growth since the group was formed and I am delighted with the strides we have made. Our team has rapidly expanded from just four members of staff to 86, and we are now looking forward to further building on our reputation in multiple markets.”
