Tendeka has announced that it has been recently awarded a three-year contract for the provision of zonal isolation technologies to be utilised by the leading Malaysian Oil and Gas company in the region. The contract was awarded through Tendeka’s partner in the region, Dialog Systems Sdn Bhd (DSSB) a wholly owned subsidiary of Dialog Group Bhd, one of Malaysia’s leading integrated specialist technical service providers to the oil, gas and petrochemical industry.

Gillian King, Tendeka’s vice president for Asia Pacific said: “Tendeka’s field-proven range of zonal isolation technologies are regularly used to reduce well construction costs, extend well life and also improve well integrity.

“Our proprietary elastomer technology delivers reliable isolation performance across a variety of temperature and salinity profiles.  Tendeka’s advanced swellable packers are used to prevent fluid communication between individual reservoir sections or to achieve a pressure seal or zonal isolation as required. We have developed a technology that means that while the packers swell when they come into contact with specific conditions they also retain their flexibility and can react to subsequent changes in the well bore geometry.”
