1.5MWp photovoltaic plant completed

Martifer Solar Hellas has completed construction of a 1.5MWp photovoltaic plant in Apathia Vrachaki, in the municipality of Trizinias, Greece.

The project, which is owned by Alasia Development SA, covers an area of 45,000 sq m and will produce around 2.2GWh/year, the equivalent of the average consumption of almost 500 families.

The plant was connected to the grid on 14th September and will prevent the emission of 1,915 tons of CO2 per year into the atmosphere.

Martifer Solar Hellas was responsible for EPC (engineering, procurement and construction), including the commissioning of the solar park, after connection to the grid, and will be in charge of the operation and maintenance of the plant. The project consists of polycrystalline modules and string inverters installed on fixed structures.

Construction work was completed in two and a half months despite the fact that the plant was built in an extremely inaccessible location, where the ground inclination was over 30 degrees, which makes it, in terms of design and implementation, one of the most difficult plants that have ever been installed in Greece.
