Increasing operational efficiency is a key priority for plant operators and to help them meet this ongoing goal, Siemens has introduced new functionality to its ULTRAMAT 23 gas analyser.
The Siemens ULTRAMAT 23 has been advanced to include two additional measurement options - a hydrogen sulphide sensor and paramagnetic cell for oxygen gas analysis.
The analyser can now simultaneously measure four gas components using a combination of infra-red and electrochemical cells: methane, carbon dioxide, oxygen and hydrogen sulphide.
Unlike with some devices, the ULTRAMAT 23 measures all gas components simultaneously, removing the need for separate analysers which means operational efficiency is increased and costs reduced.
To further increase operational efficiency, the ULTRAMAT 23 has a menu-guided plain-text display panel which enables engineers to view all data which has been stored – this data then allows for preventative maintenance to reduce plant downtime.
Engineering time throughout the life of the analyser is also greatly reduced, as calibration with gases is only necessary once a year and the device has cleanable sample cells which means they can be reused after contamination instead of having to be replaced.
