Iwis is launching a new range of chains for the beverage and packaging industries. Sold under the Flexon brand, the newly developed Flat Top chains and Modular Belts can be used for conveying almost all types of piece goods and are well suited to use in the beverage and packaging industries. With its new plastic chains, Iwis says it now offers a comprehensive range of chains for all drive and conveying applications.

Flexon Flat Top chains are available in various plastic and stainless steel versions that cover a wide range of customer requirements. Their physical dimensions, mechanical properties and materials fully meet the applicable market standards. The new Flexon Modular Belts are also available in various plastic versions in both metric and imperial widths. Flat Top chains and Modular Belts are typically used for conveying glass and plastic bottles, cans, cases, barrels and cartons in bottling and packaging plants, transporting foodstuffs in the food and beverage industry, and transporting light- to medium-weight goods in many other sectors.

Dr Frank Mitzschke, design and development project manager at Iwis, comments: "A few customers have already successfully taken the new Flexon Flat Top chains and Modular Belts into operation. The new product range is the pinnacle of 90 years' experience in developing roller chains. With these new products we now cover all conceivable drive and conveyor chain applications."
