HMIs with wide-ranging industrial Ethernet support

Paul Boughton
HMI Systems' compact Eagle series Operator Interfaces can communicate in various Industrial Ethernet environments and are available with support for a variety of leading protocols.

In addition to Profinet and Ethernet/IP these include MMS (used by ABB PLCs) and, as of recently, also FINS-TCP for OMRON's Sysmac PLCs.

For more than five years now the operator interfaces have been compatible with the non-proprietary Modbus TCP as well, with which they can be connected to Schneider or Yokogawa control systems, and which also provides generic support for other, Windows-based automation solutions.

These HMIs with their own visualisation software are suitable for simple operating and monitoring tasks in all kinds of processes. They are available for installation in hazardous areas of zones 2 and 22 (ProVicom) as well as for zones 1 and 21 (Exicom). All devices of the series, notably also including the ProVicom versions, can be installed in hazardous areas without any further protective measures. In addition, both types meet clean-room specifications and are certified for installation on-board ships.
