One-piece conduit fittings are quick to fit

Paul Boughton
Adaptaflex is introducing what it describes as the most advanced conduit fitting in the market today; the patented Adaptalok ATS range of one-piece, moulded fittings are suitable for both wet and dry conditions.

Adaptalok ATS fittings are said to be simple and failsafe, providing high performance in a single component. They are fast to fit and easy to remove with the Adaptalok removal tool, while allowing stockholding to be reduced by offering all required IP standards and specifications in a true one-piece design.

Being a single-piece fitting, installation times are considerably reduced and there is absolutely no possibility of losing component parts – the omission of which might compromise a conduit system's sealing and integrity. As the conduit seal and face washer are an integral part of the fitting, the required IP ratings can be achieved by a simple 'push and twist - pull' installation process that requires no tools.

The culmination of an extensive development programme, the fittings are manufactured from nylon and elastomer materials using a twin-shot moulding technique to provide both the internal conduit seal and a face seal washer as an integral part of the component.

Adaptalok ATS fittings are available in sizes from 13mm to 54mm, including a new 48mm fitting option. The fittings come in straight, 90-degree elbow and 45-degree elbow formats, with fixed or swivel nylon or metal thread options. A UNEF circular connector range, with swivel internal threads, adds to the flexibility of the product range, along with swivel panel-mount flanges and swivel couplers.

Meirion Buck of Adaptaflex comments: "We have evaluated and compared performance and installation times of Adaptalok ATS against all the main competitors and have proven that the system offers measurable advantages to installers and designers alike, and all within a single, easy-to-use range which offers exceptional protection to critical power and data cabling."
