Document review software

Spicer Corporation is releasing Imagenation 8, enabling users to efficiently scan, review, mark-up, and print hundreds of office document, CAD drawing and model formats.

Imagenation's diverse applications - including engineering drawing review, redaction of confidential information, and archiving - are used globally in manufacturing, government, utilities, insurance, financial services, and reprographics markets.

By streamlining document productivity between technical and office users alike, Imagenation improves workflow and return on investment for organisations with corporate information systems and OEM technology.

Team members worldwide can view files, exchange hundreds of document and drawing file types, add comments and gather critical CAD or model information - such as measurements - from their desktops.

Powerful APIs let integrators implement custom applications, such as revision control, markup permissions, and redaction, while corporate administrators gain complete control over access to documents, markups, and externally referenced files.

With Imagenation 8, organizations centred on document distribution and output will benefit from faster, more efficient desktop interactivity between documents, scanners and browsers. This release introduces a new XP-style user interface that is designed to help users customise their desktops by organising toolbars and preferences to suit their needs.

Additional improvements in Release 8 include: a new file send feature that allows the user to send any rendered document as a PDF file; enhanced PDF support for saving Spicer markups in PDF format and documents as PDF data; an ISIS Scanning toolkit update that adds support for several new scanners from Canon, Epson, Fujitsu, and HP; and a new Imagenation plug-in for the Firefox Browser.

Imagenation 8 also introduces support for several new formats, including: Solidworks 2006 2D and 3D; Autodesk Inventor10 2D and 3D; PTC Pro/Engineer V16 to Wildfire 2 assemblies; Microsoft Message Format (.msg); Digital Negative; and JT.

Imagenation is available for Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, and Windows XP. A flexible pricing model provides options for fixed, enterprise, server and OEM licensing.
