Power supply lets you get connected twice

Paul Boughton

MGV Stromversorgungen has developed a compact and user-friendly CPCI power supply designed especially for the new CompactPCI mini-systems. The P2070 (8HP/3U) series offers the same advantages as these CPCI racks.

The new range of power supplies includes two modelseach with a different power connection. On the P2070F modelthe mains feed is via an IEC320/C5 cold (‘Mickey Mouse’) connector installed on the frontwhile the P2070 offers a familiar backplan 24/8-channel M-socket strip.

The appliance switches automatically between 120V and 230V input voltages. In terms of outputthe module supplies 5.1V at 8A and 3.3V at 10A.

It operates at temperatures ranging from -25° to 70°C. It requires free convection onlyneeding no forced cooling. Electronic safeguards protect both the power supply and connected appliances.

In the course of this yearthree further 70W feeds will be following in the form of a DG2070 range with dc input8.5–18Vdc and 18–36Vdcthe latter also offering front and backplan inputs.
