Miniature through-hole load cell features USB interface
Futek Advanced Sensor Technology is launching the LTH350 Donut/Thru hole Load Cell with a USB output option. The LTH350 Donut Load Cell is also part of Futek's Miniature Load Cell Series Line. Futek specialises in providing miniature devices such as the LLB350 for applications where space is limited; this particular miniature donut load cell is suitable for inline compression applications.The new module, with its USB output, eliminates the need for an analogue amplifier, power supply and display equipment, making usage easier. The plug-and-play concept gives users the power of monitoring the output of the sensor and receiving measurement without any worries about noise, temperature variation or power supply requirements. The USB integration also includes Futek's basic USB Software that allows users to monitor the output of the sensor in real time. Futek also offers Extended USB Software for data logging capabilities and additional features.
Futek's Model LTH350 is a Donut Load Cell with a high capacity range relative to its size. This model is offered in a 100 lb (45kg) capacity up to 5000 lbs (2268kg). The standard LTH350 Donut Load Cell model has a very robust construction available in 17-4 stainless steel, with a bore diameter range of 3.2-15.9mm (1/8 to 5/8inch) and a 24 AWG, four-conductor, spiral-shielded 3m (10 feet) Teflon cable.
The LTH350 Donut Load Cell offers high accuracy and high stiffness. It has a nonlinearity of +/-0.5 per cent; or improved accuracy is available when required. This model has a deflection of 0.05mm (0.002inch) nominal and an operating temperature range of -51 to 93 degrees C (-60 to 200 degrees F). The standard LTH350 Donut Load Cell can be modified or customised and most capacities are available for 24-hour shipping. Similar to the company's entire load cell product line, this model is manufactured in the USA and uses metal foil strain gauge technology.
