New Modbus interface module for miniature server
Picoserv is described as a comprehensive, low-cost range of products including miniature web server, network and SMS technologies with limitless remote access and control applications possibilities.
The high functionality of the Picoserv server - including dynamic web pages and support for SNMP - means there are many potential applications including home automation, industrial automation, remote sensing, remote control, SCADA and building control.
A new Modbus interface module adds further capability to an existing range of standard intelligent interface modules that provide 'no development' parallel, serial, analogue and digital I/O interfaces between the server module and the outside world.
Modbus data received by the module may be read via an HTML web page in a web browser, in a Network Management System using the SNMP protocol or on a mobile GSM phone via a text message if an SMS gateway is installed in the Picoserv system.
