Rotary control ball valve

Rotary control ball valve

The MOGAS FlexStream Control Ball valve is designed in accordance with ANSI and other associated referenced standards. This trunnion constructed ball valve has been designed with optimized features for pressure and flow control.

The FlexStream trim element is based on a series of torturous paths created by a disc stack of plates inserted in the flow passage of the ball forcing the process fluid to turn through a series of right angle turns created by the disc stack, these turns provide a controlled pressure reduction philosophy for controlling velocity and noise in gaseous flow and cavitation in liquid fluids. Each of the paths can have up to 36 turns/stages of pressure letdown to deal with large pressure reduction.

FlexStream provides flexibility in design, by tailoring the trim element to give virtually limitless rangeability by providing pressure letdown turns/stages where the flow conditions require it, the rest of the ball flow passage can be left open to provide a low pressure letdown high capacity opening.
