Signal conditioning amplifiers are sealed to IP65

Signal conditioning amplifiers are sealed to IP65

RDP Electronics is launching a range of IP65-rated inline signal conditioning amplifiers that are suitable for mounting close to transducers in wet and dirty locations such as on machines used in process industries.

Signal conditioning is required to boost or convert transducer output to a level and format suitable for monitoring or data logging purposes. Because it is important to ensure that the connecting low-voltage cable is kept as short as possible for noise immunity and a better quality signal, the amplifier needs to be mounted close to the transducer. Thanks to the IP65 design utilising a compact, robust die-cast aluminium housing that also provides screening from electrical noise, the SD series of amplifiers can be located conveniently near to the measurement position in situations that may be wet, dusty or dirty.

RDP's amplifiers are available for both DC and mains supply input; they are suitable for use with a wide range of LVDT transducers, strain gauge sensors and some internally amplified transducers. The capability to adjust gain over a wide range offers compatibility with the majority of these transducer types from other manufacturers.
