Nexcom is launching a new PICMG 1.0 full-size single board computer (SBC) that supports Intel 45nm Core 2 Duo/Quad technology and is equipped with the G41 chipset. The Intel G41 + ICH7 chipset ensures high-quality video performance without deployment of additional cards or decoders. In addition to improved video performance, scalability and responsiveness, the Intel G41 Express GPU can deliver 3D graphics capability.

For increased versatility, the new PEAK 777VL2 includes the Intel Core 2 Quad/Core 2 Duo/Pentium 4/Pentium D/Celeron D with front side bus frequencies ranging from 800 to 1333MHz. For high-performance applications, the PEAK 777VL2 can support up to 4GB of DDR RAM. Furthermore, it supports a multitude of other I/O interfaces including two serial ports, six USB ports and two PCI Express Gigabit LAN ports.

The PEAK 777VL2 will find applications within graphic-intensive applications that require flexibility and performance, including digital signage. It is the latest addition to Nexcom's range of PICMG 1.0 and 1.3 rated SBCs and passive backplanes. All products in this high-reliability range are based on proven cutting-edge technology that has been successfully been utilised in numerous applications throughout the world.
