LED power supplies are sealed to IP66

TDK-Lambda is launching a new range of power supplies for LED applications requiring high reliability. Suitable for all indoor and outdoor LED lighting installations, as well as digital signage and industrial applications, these 12W supplies are IP66-rated and accept a wide universal AC input.

The new LED power supplies are available in two output modes: the LDV12 series provides a constant voltage of 12V, 15V and 24V and the LDC12 series provides a constant current of 350mA and 700mA. Both series are convection cooled, operating between -10 and 60 degrees C without de-rating, with a guaranteed start up at -20 degrees C and an output efficiency of 82 per cent. Standard features include protection against short circuits, overloads and overvoltage. The units are compact, measuring 90 x 34.5 x 21mm, and are mounted in a vibration- and shock-resilient sealed case.

As well as complying with the requirements of EN 55015, EN 55022, VCCI, CISPR22 and FCC (achieving class B conducted and radiated emissions with a substantial margin), TDK-Lambda's LDV12 and LDC12 series meet UL1310 (Class 2), EN 61347-1 and EN 61347-2-13 safety approvals and carry the CE mark. To ensure long-term reliability, all models meet EN 61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -8, -11 immunity standards and have an MTBF of over 700,000 hours and a calculated e-cap life of up to 10 years, supported by a three-year warranty.
