Schools beat solar deadline

National energy efficiency solutions company, Anesco, has worked at record speed to beat the December deadline and install solar pv schemes on the roof tops of a number of primary and secondary schools in West Sussex, UK.

Anesco had just six weeks to mount all the rooftop cells and to register each school for the government’s Feed-in Tariff scheme.

“West Sussex County Council is a forward thinking organisation and this is a fantastic project with broad reaching benefits,” said Adrian Pike, CEO of Anesco (pictured).

He added: “Anesco has worked with a number of local authorities, housing associations and businesses to design and manage bespoke projects such as this. With this project we are again demonstrating our ability to work efficiently and safely, even under very tight time constraints.”

The solar installations will provide free electricity for each school, while helping to reduce carbon emissions. Anesco has also provided each school with a screen displaying how much power has been generated every day.

With head offices based at Aldermaston near Reading, Anesco works with local authorities, businesses and homeowners looking to reduce their carbon emissions. The award-winning firm provides organisations with a comprehensive energy service, from audits through to recommendations, installations and capital funding plans.
