Shuttered duplex LC adapters improve eye protection
Tyco Electronics is adding a new family of shuttered duplex LC adapters to its line of LC connectors and adapters. This new product is designed for the low-profile, SC cutout adapter and includes a slip-on retractable cover within the standard cutout for enhanced eye protection. It is suitable for high-powered applications and serves the data communication and telecommunication industries.Paula A Trindell, product manager, comments: "A unique feature of the slide-on shutter provides for eye safety without changing the board cutout. In addition, its convenient single door design allows for an effortless one-handed connector installation."
Available product offerings include flanged and flangeless plastic configuration, secure adapters, and metal-flanged adapter styles.
