AS-Interface field modules are sealed to IP68/IP69K
Pepperl+Fuchs is introducing new AS-Interface G11 field modules that offer an innovative clean housing concept in a robust, compact, round design; they are said to be particularly suitable for assembly machines and process automation applications.Thanks to the O-ring seal, even cleaning processes involving pressure washers and mechanical stress do not affect the performance of the G11 modules, which are protected to IP68/IP69K. Plus the smooth surfaces prevent dirt from accumulating in the first place.
The housing is only 85mm in diameter and can be mounted with the flat AS-I cable aligned in any direction. Outputs of up to 2A per M12 port are short-circuit protected, and any overload condition is indicated directly at the relevant M12 port. As a result, troubleshooting time at the installation location is minimised.
Compatible with the new AS-Interface Power 24 specifications, the G11 module is available in four versions with different types of connection to the AS-Interface network, and a choice of input/output configurations.
