Fieldbus protocol for safety-related control
Pilz launched its safeopen bus system Safetybus p in 1999. Now it is launching Safetynet pa combined system for safety-related controlstandard machine or process controland motion control applications; it has real-time capability and is totally flexible and open. It provides flexible topologies and structures.
Another feature is the high level of decentralisation. Controller intelligence is transferred locally to field levelwhich increases performance and adds to the flexibility of the overall system. So Safetynet p meets the requirement for the decentralisation of control functionswhile still retaining a centralised perspective.
