Level sensor for hygienic applications and corrosive media

Level sensor for hygienic applications and corrosive media

The Vegaflex63 level sensor is particularly suitable for continuous level measurement in hygiene applications as well as corrosive and aggressive media.

The level sensor operates according to the guided microwave principlealso called TDR.
The microwave signals are guided along a rod or cable and reflected when they hit the surface of the product.

The running time of the microwave signal yields the distance to the product and thus the filling level.

Vegaflex63 has all the advantages this technique offers: simple mountingstraightforward setup (also without filling) and reliable measurement independent of product density. The maintenance-free sensor is insensitive to foam and buildup.

With its PFA coatingthe sensor is not only optimal for use in corrosive media but in hygienic applications as well. All materials that contact the medium are food safe.

The sensor has approvals for the food and pharmaceutical industry and is suitable for clean and sterilisation-in-place cleaning.

Vegaflex63 is also available with Ex and WHG approvalsdepending on the users requirements.
