Multipurpose full bore 4-in ball valve

Enraf Tanksystem in an effort to better suite the needs of industry and customer base have introduced its new 4-in Multi-Purpose vapour lock valve. All equipment produced by Enraf Tanksystem with either 1-in, 2-in, or 4-in connections are compatible with this valve.

Organisations such as API (American Petroleum Institute) and EI (Energy Institute) recommend the size of the vapour valve to be 100mm(4-in). A 100mm valve will allow access for the various types of gauging and sampling equipment which may be required depending on the product and sample type required. Vapour valves smaller than 100mm in diameter are suitable for gauging but can severely limit the type of sampling equipment that can be used and, ultimately, the quality of the sample.

The size and location of the vapour valve for closed system measurement and sampling is critical to the process.

A valve of the proper size, located correctly, will allow more accurate measurements to be taken than one that is improperly located and of insufficient size.

The new multi-purpose valve from Enraf Tanksystem gives the flexibility to gauge products from crude to chemicals. Most importantly though it will allow the use of sampling equipment with the capabilities of retrieving sample quantities from 1/3 litre to 1.8 litre.
