Paul Boughton

Watson-Marlow Bredel Pumps is launching the SPX-Duconite hose pumpwhich is specifically designed for resistance to aggressive chemicals.

An advanced form of surface protection means that the new pump is highly resistant to harsh media; it also features newly developed hose technology that provides extensive chemical resistanceenabling the SPX-Duconite pump to handle corrosive chemicals.

The SPX-Duconite hose pump is available in four sizeswith a capacity of up to 5000 l/hr and pressures of up to 16 bar. The pumps are self-priming and can run dry indefinitely without damage.

A variety of harsh materials can be pumpedincluding sodium hypochloritetitanium dioxidesodium hydroxidecatalytic agentssulphuric acidlime slurryacidic liquidssolvents and resins. This means that the pump is particularly suitable for applications in the foodwater and chemical industries.

Peristaltic hose pumps are virtually maintenance-freewith no sealsvalves or rotorsbut simply an easily-replaceable hose.
