Multi-purpose ac drive for material handling and machines
The Vacon NXL range of ac drives is now available with new Multi-Purpose application software, thus making the Vacon NXL a cost-effective alternative for versatile and dynamic motor control. This application software is available for downloading free of charge at the Vacon home site or it can be downloaded to the drive at the factory before delivery.
The application software takes full use of the two option board slots of the NXL (frame sizes MF4-MF6) offering the user a wide selection of I/O connections (eg, 14 digital inputs or 5 relay outputs or 3 analogue inputs/outputs). A large number of fieldbus cards is available as an option. The RS485 (Modbus RTU) is included as standard.
Automatic motor identification, mechanical brake control, fast stop and other parameters to optimise the performance and controllability have been added.
The Vacon NXL with the Multi-Purpose application software is an optimal solution especially in material handling and when integrated to machines. It is available for powers 0.25–1.5kW (208-240V) and 0.37-37kW (380-500V).
